Sole Care for Souls promotes health and hope through free foot care service for the impoverished residents and people who are homeless in the Minneapolis/St. Paul area.
Sole Care for Souls began in May 2006 with one nurse providing foot care once a week in south Minneapolis. Since that time, the program has developed into a 501(c)3 non-profit organization with more than a dozen medical professionals volunteering to provide care at various locations. Nearly two dozen assistants volunteer their time, helping the program run smoothly and making clients feel welcomed and comfortable.
All people need a listening ear and someone to talk with. During the time of foot care, the opportunity arises to come along side another to give hope and encouragement for their souls. “It is a blessing to sit and talk with people while providing foot care, people I would otherwise not have the opportunity to meet.” -Kathy Jo, Sole Care for Souls
